The 3.6L V6 in the Enclave (2008–2017) has known timing chain wear and excessive oil consumption. Oil change intervals extended past 7,500 miles accelerate chain wear — we recommend 5,000 miles in Chico's heat. The 2018+ Enclave uses a revised 3.6L that is significantly more reliable with proper maintenance.
