Caper Acres opened in 1970. After all this time, it needs some renovation. The building has reached the point of needing repairs after years of intensive usage of fun wear and tear. The innovative Caper Acres Master Plan was adopted in 2014, thanks to the inventive ideas of Chico youngsters and local landscaping architects.

While looking forward to the next generation of Chico’s children, this master design combines essential upgrades on existing equipment, long-awaited site upkeep, infrastructure improvements, and the development of a new and exciting level for generations to enjoy.

They still need more help with donations, even though they have plans in place. The beloved Caper Acres Playground needs to be renovated! The Caper Acres Bricks is a program where Individuals, groups, or organizations may order an engraved brick for installation at the Caper Acres playground through this ongoing program. Up to three lines of engraving, each containing 15 characters and spaces, are allowed. Nowadays, each brick costs $100. The upkeep of the playground is funded by the funds received.
