The Pacifica's 3.6L Pentastar V6 is the same engine as Dodge/Jeep — the oil cooler housing leak is the leading failure. Plastic housing cracks at the sealing surface causing external coolant loss or oil-coolant mixing in severe cases. Full housing replacement resolves it. Also: Pacifica Hybrid 12V auxiliary battery drain and PHEV charging system faults.
The 300C and 300S with the 5.7L Hemi share the MDS lifter failure mode with Dodge Challenger and Charger. Highway driving causes rapid MDS cycling — tick and P0300-series misfires are the first signs. Early diagnosis prevents camshaft damage. The 6.4L SRT variant has no MDS.
The 2015–2017 Chrysler 200 uses a ZF 9-speed automatic known for harsh shifts, hunting between gears, and software-driven erratic behavior. Transmission fluid service at 45,000 miles and TCM software updates (via ScanTool or dealer) address most complaints. Full replacement is rarely needed if fluid is fresh.
