Complete Ford service intervals for F-150, F-250, Explorer, Escape, Expedition, EcoBoost, and PowerStroke diesel. Open 7 days.
Ford uses an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor on most modern vehicles. Do not trust this for turbocharged EcoBoost engines — use 5,000-mile intervals. Transmission fluid at 30,000 miles for towing use. Spark plugs at 60,000 miles.
Key intervals: EcoBoost oil every 5,000 miles, 30k transmission fluid, 60k spark plugs and timing chain inspection, 90k coolant flush. Written estimate before any work.
Non-turbo Ford gas engines: 7,500 miles with full synthetic 5W-20 or 5W-30.
EcoBoost turbocharged engines: 5,000 miles with full synthetic. Do not extend beyond 5,000 miles on any EcoBoost regardless of oil life monitor.
6.7L PowerStroke diesel: 7,500 miles with PowerStroke-spec diesel oil and filter.
Transmission fluid (essential for all Ford models, especially those used for towing).
Differential fluid on 4WD/AWD models. Transfer case fluid. Cabin air filter replacement.
Brake fluid moisture test. Fuel filter on diesel models. Comprehensive inspection.
Spark plugs (iridium). Timing chain inspection on all EcoBoost models.
GDI intake valve inspection — walnut blast cleaning if carbon buildup present.
All 30k fluid services if not recently performed.
Coolant flush (Motorcraft Gold OAT coolant).
All fluid services. Drive shaft and CV boot inspection.
Serpentine belt replacement. Turbocharger health check on EcoBoost. Comprehensive written inspection report.
The 2.0T, 2.3T, 2.7T, and 3.5T EcoBoost engines benefit most from strict 5,000-mile oil changes. The turbocharger runs hot and degrades oil faster than naturally aspirated engines.
Carbon buildup on intake valves is a known EcoBoost issue. Walnut blast cleaning at 60,000 miles keeps combustion chambers clean.
The 5.4L Triton V8 has aluminum heads that cause plugs to seize over time. Removal without proper technique and penetrating oil soak breaks the plug.
On any 5.4L with original plugs at 100,000+ miles, plan for extended removal time and possibly a plug extraction procedure. We handle this routinely on Chico Triton engines.
Oil and filter every 7,500 miles with PowerStroke diesel oil. DEF top-up at every fuel fill (approximately 2 gallons per 10,000 miles).
EGR system inspection for carbon buildup and cooler integrity at every major service. Fuel filter every 15,000 miles. Turbo oil feed line inspection at 100,000 miles.
F-150 (6R80 or 10R80): 30,000 miles for towing use, 60,000 miles standard. F-250/F-350 (6R140): 30,000 miles for towing use, 60,000 miles standard.
Ford calls some fluid lifetime fill but we recommend changes on all Ford models. Always Ford-specification fluid.
Every 5,000 miles with full synthetic 5W-30. Do not follow the oil life monitor to 10,000 miles on EcoBoost engines.
Ford calls some fluid lifetime fill but this refers to design life under ideal conditions. We recommend 30,000-mile changes for towing use, 60,000 miles for standard use.
No. California law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protect your right to independent service.
Every 7,500 miles with PowerStroke-spec diesel oil. Fuel filter every 15,000 miles. DEF at every fuel fill.
