The Navigator's 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 has a known timing chain wear issue at higher mileage — startup rattle, P0016/P0017/P0018/P0019 cam timing codes. Extended oil intervals are the primary cause; the twin-turbo heat degrades oil faster than the OLM assumes. 5,000-mile full synthetic intervals in Chico. Chain replacement is a significant job — early diagnosis prevents it becoming catastrophic.
