Tesla service Chico CA. Model 3, Y, S, X. Tires, alignment, brakes, 12V battery, cabin filter. Faster than Sacramento Tesla Service Center. (530) 826-4275.
Tires, alignment, brakes, brake fluid, 12V auxiliary battery, cabin air filter, and HVAC service for all Tesla models in Chico. We can't touch high-voltage systems — but everything else keeps your Tesla healthy and off the flatbed. Faster than Sacramento Tesla Service Center wait times.
We service all routine Tesla maintenance items in Chico — tires every 6,250 miles (critical on Teslas), alignment on the Hunter Hawkeye Elite, brake service (pads + rotors from $599.99/axle), 12V auxiliary battery every 3–5 years, cabin air filter every 2 years, and brake fluid every 2 years per Tesla requirements. We cannot service high-voltage battery, motor, Autopilot, or Supercharger systems.
We cannot access Tesla's proprietary high-voltage battery, motor, or Autopilot systems — those require Tesla Service Center. Everything else we can do faster, closer, and with a NAPA Gold warranty.
Tesla Model 3 and Y eat tires faster than most ICE cars — the instant torque and regenerative braking create uneven wear patterns. Rotation every 6,000–7,500 miles is critical. Alignment on the Hunter Hawkeye Elite. We stock and source Tesla-compatible tires (Michelin Pilot Sport, Continental, Pirelli).
Model 3 RWD and AWD: alignment $169.99. Performance trim with lowered suspension: custom alignment $199.99/hr, 2hr min.
Tesla regenerative braking reduces friction brake use dramatically — pads last 80,000–150,000 miles on city drivers. However, rotors corrode and calipers seize from lack of use. We inspect rotors and hardware at every service and clean/lubricate calipers to prevent seizure.
When brakes do need replacement: pads + rotors from $599.99/axle (Model 3/Y compact), $699.99/axle (Model S/X).
Every Tesla has a conventional 12V auxiliary battery that powers low-voltage systems — door handles, touchscreen, onboard computers. It fails every 3–5 years and causes bizarre symptoms: touchscreen reboots, phantom drain alerts, inability to open the car.
The 12V battery is completely separate from the high-voltage traction battery. Replacement is straightforward and keeps your Tesla off the flatbed.
Tesla recommends cabin air filter replacement every 2 years (HEPA on Model S/X every 3 years). The HEPA filter in particular is critical for air quality — Chico wildfire smoke makes this more important than most places. We stock OEM-equivalent filters for all Tesla models.
Model Y and 2021+ Model 3 use a heat pump for cabin heating — more efficient but with its own refrigerant circuit. AC issues on older R-134a Teslas (pre-2021) and R-1234yf on newer models. We diagnose Tesla HVAC system faults that don't require high-voltage system access.
The high-voltage battery has a separate liquid cooling loop that uses conventional coolant. Tesla recommends coolant replacement every 4 years on Model S/X, every 2 years on Powerwall-equipped systems. The coolant circuit itself is accessible without HV system access.
For these, the nearest Tesla Service Center is Sacramento. Wait times are typically 2–6 weeks — all the more reason to keep the serviceable items maintained so your Tesla doesn't need emergency service.
| Service | Interval | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tire Rotation | Every 6,250 miles | Tesla's recommendation. High torque and regen braking create uneven wear. Never skip. |
| Wheel Alignment Check | Annually or after curb strike | Model 3/Y alignment is sensitive. Chico road conditions knock it out regularly. |
| Brake Fluid Flush | Every 2 years | Tesla requirement regardless of pad condition. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. |
| Cabin Air Filter | Every 2 years | HEPA on Model S/X every 3 years. Critical in Chico wildfire smoke season. |
| 12V Auxiliary Battery | Every 3–5 years | Proactive replacement prevents lockouts, touchscreen issues, and tow truck calls. |
| AC Desiccant Bag (Model S/X) | Every 6 years | Tesla recommends replacing the AC desiccant bag on older S/X models. |
| Battery Coolant (Model S/X) | Every 4 years | High-voltage battery cooling loop. Accessible without HV system access. |
| Brake Inspection | Annually | Rotors corrode and calipers seize from infrequent friction brake use. Inspect even if pads look fine. |
| Service | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tire Rotation | From $39.99 | Tesla-specific torque specs. Every 6,250 miles per Tesla recommendation. |
| Wheel Alignment — Model 3 / Y Standard | $169.99 | Hunter Hawkeye Elite. Essential after any curb strike or suspension work. |
| Wheel Alignment — Performance / Lowered | $199.99/hr · 2hr min | Model 3 Performance, Model S Plaid lowered suspension. Custom alignment. |
| Brake Service — Model 3 / Y (per axle) | From $599.99 | Pads + rotors. Extended intervals but rotors corrode — inspect annually. |
| Brake Service — Model S / X (per axle) | From $699.99 | Larger brake package. Pads + rotors per axle. |
| Brake Fluid Flush | From $99.99 | Tesla requires every 2 years regardless of brake use. DOT 3 or 4 per model. |
| 12V Auxiliary Battery Replacement | From $149.99 | AGM battery. Prevents touchscreen resets, lockouts, and HV system faults. |
| Cabin Air Filter — Model 3 / Y | From $49.99 | OEM-equivalent. Every 2 years. Critical during Chico wildfire smoke season. |
| Cabin Air Filter — Model S / X HEPA | From $149.99 | HEPA filter replacement. Every 3 years. |
| AC Diagnostic (R-134a or R-1234yf) | $199.99–$324.99 | HVAC system fault diagnosis. Pre-2021 = R-134a ($199.99). 2021+ = R-1234yf ($324.99). |

Yes — for all non-high-voltage work. Tires, alignment, brakes, brake fluid, 12V battery, cabin air filter, and AC/HVAC issues that don't require HV system access. The nearest Tesla Service Center is Sacramento with 2–6 week wait times. We handle all the routine items that keep your Tesla off the flatbed.
Every 6,250 miles per Tesla's recommendation — much more frequently than most ICE cars. The instant torque from electric motors and regenerative braking create uneven wear patterns that destroy tires faster than conventional driving. Never skip rotations on a Tesla.
The 12V auxiliary battery powers all low-voltage systems — door handles, touchscreen, MCU, network connections. A failing 12V battery causes the touchscreen to reboot, prevents you from opening the car, and can trigger false HV system warnings. It's completely separate from the traction battery and fails every 3–5 years.
Regenerative braking handles 80–90% of stopping — friction brakes rarely engage. Without regular heat cycles to burn off surface rust, rotors corrode and caliper slides seize. We inspect brake hardware and clean/lubricate calipers at every service to prevent seizure, even if pads still have life.
Yes — Model 3, Y, S, and X alignments on our Hunter Hawkeye Elite. Standard alignment $169.99. Performance trim and lowered suspension custom alignment at $199.99/hr, 2hr minimum. Chico's roads knock Tesla alignment out regularly.
We do not perform warranty work or access HV systems that would affect your Tesla warranty. Routine maintenance (tires, brakes, cabin filter, 12V battery) is not covered by Tesla warranty regardless — Magnuson-Moss applies to drivetrain warranty, not consumables.
