Different Types Of Motor Oil

There are several different types of oil changes, each of which is designed to meet different needs and vehicles.

Auto Repair

Our mechanics are trained to inspect the general condition of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles. We use complex testing equipment such as compression testers and engine analyzers.

Vehicle Maintenance

Performing regular vehicle maintenance increases the life of your vehicle, improves fuel efficiency, and saves you money in the long run. It’s also a good way to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

Auto Diagnostic

Performing an auto-diagnostic test can save you money in the long run. If you catch problems before they become major, you can avoid expensive repairs down the road.

Parts & Replacement

While there are many types of auto parts, it’s important to know which to choose. Some parts need to be replaced more often than others, and some parts are more reliable than others.

Some Of The Most Common Types Of Motor Oil

  • Conventional oil: This is the most basic type of oil change and involves draining the old oil from the engine and replacing it with new, conventional motor oil.
  • Synthetic oil: A synthetic oil change involves using synthetic motor oil, which is a highly refined version of conventional oil that is designed to provide better protection and performance for your engine.
  • High mileage oil: A high mileage oil change is designed for vehicles with more than 75,000 miles on the odometer. This type of oil change typically involves using special motor oil that is formulated to help protect and extend the life of older engines.
  • Full synthetic oil: A full synthetic oil change involves using the highest quality synthetic motor oil, which is designed to provide the best possible protection and performance for your engine.

Overall, the type of oil that is best for your vehicle will depend on a number of factors, including the age and mileage of your vehicle, your driving habits, and the type of oil that is recommended by the manufacturer. It’s always a good idea to consult with a professional mechanic to determine the best type of oil change for your specific vehicle.

Free Vehicle Inspection With Oil Service

An inspection with an oil change is a routine maintenance service for a vehicle. During this service, a mechanic will inspect various components of the vehicle to ensure they are in good working order. This may include checking the brakes, tires, suspension, and other key systems to make sure everything is functioning properly. The mechanic will also change the oil and oil filter, which is important for keeping the engine running smoothly and efficiently. This type of service is typically recommended every few thousand miles or as specified by the vehicle’s manufacturer.

Synthetic motor oil is highly refined and provides better protection and performance under these conditions.

Overall, the best oil for your vehicle will depend on your specific needs and the recommendations of your mechanic. It’s always a good idea to consult with a professional to determine the best oil change for your vehicle.

Best Oil For My Car?

The best oil for your vehicle will depend on a number of factors, including the age and mileage of your vehicle, your driving habits, and the type of oil that is recommended by the manufacturer.

For most vehicles, conventional oil using high-quality motor oil is a good choice. This type of oil change is affordable and provides the necessary protection and performance for most vehicles.

However, if your vehicle has more than 75,000 miles on the odometer, you may want to consider a high-mileage oil. This type of oil change uses special motor oil that is formulated to help protect and extend the life of older engines.

Additionally, if you drive your vehicle in extreme conditions or use it for towing or hauling heavy loads, you may want to consider synthetic oil.

not only did Tedious Repairs complete the job I had my Golf in for, but in addition he added a few repairs for a very reasonable price, (after confirming with me that it was O.K.) such as repairing a tire that had a nail in it; I will return to this business in the future for my auto's needs

Buddy and his team of well qualified technicians always do a great job. I’ve taken my cars to them for nearly 20 years now, at least 3 different vehicles, and I cannot recommend them enough. They’re thorough, hard working and honest. Tough qualities to find in people now a days, let alone a mechanic!!!

This is the only place I take my vehicles to get worked on. Buddy and his team simply know the ins and outs of all varieties of vehicles. I have had A/C Repair, Oil Changes, Brakes, and a New Key Fob made all at Tedious Repairs. Pricing is honest and simply the best around town. You get an itemized list of all jobs that need to be done after a full diagnostic of your vehicle; and you can choose what you want done. No trickery

Highly recommend this shop! The owner is super friendly and was able to get my car in for a brake job the day that I called. It turned out to be extra work than we had initially thought and, once approved, they had no problem taking care of the extra work immediately. They also did a full car inspection with descriptions and pictures sent straight to my phone. The up front communication and honesty were both greatly appreciated. Brake price was the best that I found in town after much research. I will definitely be back for future repairs!
